Swarovski Crystal Worlds
Swarovski Crystal Worlds is located in Wattens, 15 km east of Innsbruck. This uniquely fascinating exhibition consists of fantastic chambers of wonders that revolve around a "crystal" theme. A botanical, water-spewing giant at the entrance to the building and a beautiful park with playgrounds, biotope and a maze invite visitors to discover and enjoy.
Bergisel Ski Jump
The Olympic ski jump at the Bergisel Stadium, which was rebuilt in 2001, is right there in Innsbruck. A funicular and visitors' lift in the tower will carry you up to the cafe and a panoramic viewing platform 50 m above the ground, from where you will be able to take in 360° views of Innsbruck and the surrounding landscapes.
Schwaz Silver Mine
"The Mother of All Mines". Allow yourself to be whisked away on a 90-minute journey back through time to the Middle Ages, the heyday of silver mining. Following in the footsteps of those courageous miners of old, you will make your way 800 meters into the mountain and gain true insights into the tough working conditions below ground, the lifestyle of the miners and the society in which they lived.
Zillertal High Road
With a total length of 48 km, it is one of the most beautiful alpine roads in Austria, serving up wonderful scenic impressions of the Zillertal Alps. This toll road can be traveled in summer either by public bus or in your own car; you can get on the road in the communities of Ried, Kaltenbach, Aschau, Zell and Hippach.
Zillertal Railway
Take a steam-train ride and experience the Zillertal at its most beautiful! You are certain to be enchanted by the huffing and puffing of the locomotive, while you will experience what it was like to travel in your grandparents' day. The Zillertal Railway runs twice daily in summer and Wednesdays only in winter.
Spannagel Cave
Eons ago, the Ice Age melt below the Spannagelhaus on the Hintertuxer Glacier created the biggest cave system in the Central Alps. Combine your trip to the Hintertuxer Glacier - both summer and winter - with a visit to the Spannagel Cave Natural Monument. Open year-round, the tour lasts approximately 1 hour.
